Crash!
My life is never uneventful. Always something happening to keep me on my toes... or, in this case, flat on my back, strapped to a board, in the back of an ambulance.
Yesterday I left for the gym a bit early, hoping to stop at Target to pick up a few essentials for Jacob's chocolate bunny day basket. Long story short, I had stopped before turning right to let a handicapped woman and a child finish crossing the street, some idiot slammed into me, and I was rushed to the hospital. As you can see, I'm alive, but my back and neck hurt like a motherbitch...
Blah.

I am sorry to hear of that - shudders at the thought of cars - I am SO glad i am not on those roads!!!!
Hope you are gonna be back on track soon!!!!
(((MAGGIE))) - - sooooo sorry an idiot was on the same road as you...open your eyes people!!! -- Thank Goodness you are ok, despite the mother-bitch pain! -- take it easy and heal my dear friend.
Sending healing thoughts and casting pain-relieving spells for you, my dear! Thank Goddess there was you between the woman & child crossing the road and the idiot driver!!
ACK! Oh no. I hope you're ok and feeling like your old self soon. Is the car ok?
Jess -- no, the car is a mess. It's @ the body shop now and I'm guessing the damages will total well over $2000...
Scratch that... the damages are now estimated at over SIX thousand dollars... thank goodness for insurance...
Thank goodness you're ok! It's damn scary though. I was in almost exactly the same situation on June 18, 2008 when an idiot ran a stop sign and plowed into the side of me. I spent 4 hours in a brace and on a backboard at the hospital, then 10 weeks in physiotherapy for my neck and back and now the insurance wants ME to pay the remainder of what his insurance didn't cover when HE totalled my car! Some people shouldn't be allowed to breathe, let alone drive.
